Is this the right qualification for me?

What workplace evidence will I need?

You need opportunities to lead and manage care practice. Evidence may include observation, staff supervision and development, service improvement, governance and audit activity, safeguarding, risk management and professional discussions. Your assessor agrees an individual assessment plan with you.

How will I learn and be assessed?

Knowledge tasks and assessment plans are available through your e-portfolio. Practical competence is assessed through planned workplace evidence and observation. Completion requires all relevant knowledge and practical assessment requirements to be met, followed by quality assurance.

What support will I receive?

Your appointed assessor introduces the programme and e-portfolio, helps plan your evidence and provides guidance and feedback. Learning and assessment arrangements are agreed around the qualification and your needs.

How long does it take?

Duration depends on your prior knowledge, responsibilities, access to evidence and the time you can commit. We agree realistic expected timescales before you enrol.

Where is workplace assessment available?

Delivery is subject to assessor availability in your location. Contact us to check coverage and agree suitable arrangements before enrolment.

Can I pay for the qualification myself?

Yes. Qualifications are available to self-funding learners and employers. The fee is £1,800 + VAT (£2,160 including VAT). We explain the fees and any available payment options before enrolment.

Is employer funding available?

Eligible adult social care employers in England may be able to claim support through LDSS. Eligibility, approved learning, evidence and available funding must be checked before booking. Reimbursement is not guaranteed. Read about funding and payment options.

Does this guarantee CQC registration?

No. The diploma develops leadership and management competence. CQC registration considers wider fitness, experience and service requirements. Completion does not guarantee registration or an assessment outcome.
